Lesson Plans for teachers

All you need to turn your students into 3D Printing experts. Our curriculum lesson plans have been created by current classroom teachers for teachers. From beginner lesson plans targeted for 11-13 year olds, to intermediate lesson plans for age ranges 14 - 16, the learnbylayers curriculum will teach your classes all they need to know about 3D Printing. All lesson plans include fully editable teaching and learning resources such as power points, lesson worksheet tasks with accompanying answer sheets, homework tasks with answer sheets, design challenges, video tutorials and final assessments with example files to 3D print to support the delivery of the curriculum. The design challenges are differentiated to allow all students to be challenged in lesson regardless of their ability. Students will learn 3D CAD and how to create their own models as part of the curriculum. There are over 100 lesson resources published that allow the lessons to be taught straight 'out of the box' with minimal planning needed.

"Lessons are engaging and simple to follow, especially for teachers who have no experience in 3D printing! Lessons can be adapted and edited but in my opinion, they don’t need to be! Everything is already included and ready to go as they include detailed lesson plans and all the basics of an outstanding lesson (observation ready!)"

"I'm no novice to teaching CAD or 3D printing, but the quality of the resources available from learnbylayers is second to none. I have used the lesson plans and resources in lesson observations with fantastic results, the videos included in the lessons really enable pupils to work at the own pace which leads to a perfect differentiated lesson."
