Learnbylayers review by Hawk3Dproto

Hawk3dproto is one of only a few major 3D printing businesses in the UK who actively support education. Over the past few years Ben the founder and CEO of Hawk3DProto has made multiple donations to schools in the form of 3D printers and filament and also has frequent giveaways on his youtube channel where his videos have racked up over 150,00o views. If you are a youtube fan then his channel is definitely worth subscribing to. Ben vlogs every week and has nearly 50 videos online and growing every week. From cosplay props to cartoon characters, you see Ben 3D printing all kinds of models and working on many different products. A walk into his show room is like being immersed into a 3D printed wonderland where every model he has printed is on display and you just admire what is going on.
Ben and Hawk3Dproto sponsored our initial 3D printer giveaway when we launched learnbylayers back in October and the 3D printer is being used by students in Audenshaw high school in Manchester. When we were looking for a review of some of our lessons we asked Ben and he agreed. Ben reviewed a lesson from our advanced lesson pack for his youtube channel. Watch below to see Ben model some flexible bike grips using the BCN sigma and ninja flex flexible filament. Ben modelled the grips using fusion 360 after reading through the lessons. Fusion 360 was our choice of CAD modelling software as it is free for education and also is cloud based. This means that when students have finished their lessons in school time they can continue the learning at home by logging into Fusion 360 cloud features.
We’d like to thank Ben for the review and everything he does for 3D printing and especially education. Make sure you subscribe to his channel for updates on all things 3D printing. Here’s some images from our visit today! Click the logo below and hit the subscribe button.
