In this lesson, your class with be given a design challenge based on the skills that they learnt in lesson 3 using TinkerCAD. Students will be given a range of challenges to complete with the outcome being 3D printable. There is a bronze, silver, gold and platinum challenge. They will also learn extra features that can be applied to 3D CAD models such as  designing ‘fillets’ and adding ‘chamfers’ to designs.

With every design challenge there is an image showing dimensions so that learners can check how accurate their model is. Also there are example STL files of each design so students can physically measure the outcomes to compare to their own design.

Bronze challenge – Key ring that is personalised
