Sample TinkerCAD video tutorial

Videos are an essential part of the classroom, especially when learning new skills. As part of our curriculum we have video’s embedded into each lesson bundle.
This is a benefit to both the teacher and the student. During CAD demonstrations the teacher doesn’t need to deliver a live demo to the class, they can play the videos and talk over them to their students and easily replay the videos if any learners need points clarifying.
Also, if the teacher is new to 3D printing then the videos take the stress out of delivering a brand new topic and just make life that bit easier. The ability to play a video allows for the teacher to teach the content without having to do two things at once e.g. navigate a new software while keeping an eye on 20 young children.
We have created a new sample video of one of our TinkerCAD lessons to give you an idea of the type of content and skills that students will learn from being taught learnbylayers.

For the children, the videos are a massive help in lesson as they can replay them at their own pace. Almost all schools have networks with shared areas allowing teachers to upload lesson content for students to access. In the case of learnbylayers we know that many schools do this as the standard way of delivering the CAD design lessons.
The video above forms part of the beginners curriculum and the basic plan. If you haven’t already done so ensure you download the free lesson to learn more about the format of the curriculum.
