How long does access last?
All licences provide access for one year and are renewed annually.
How does the setup process work?
Once your order has been received:
- We create your school’s account.
- The nominated teacher is set up as the account administrator.
- Login details are sent directly to you.
- You enrol your students and begin using the platform.
Most accounts are ready within 1-2 working days.
Will our school have its own dedicated platform?
Yes. Each school receives its own dedicated instance of StudyLayers, providing a separate and secure environment for your staff and students. This ensures that your school’s data, users, and activity remain isolated from other schools using the platform.
How do subject logins work?
Each purchased subject includes its own dedicated login and learning environment. For example, if your school purchases Engineering Design and Computer Science, each subject will have its own access point, allowing students and teachers to access the relevant content for that subject.
This approach helps keep learning organised, simplifies student access, and allows schools to manage subjects independently.
Can schools pay by purchase order (PO)?
Yes. Schools can pay online using a card or request an invoice using a purchase order (PO).
How many students can access the platform?
Your licence includes access for your school’s students within the purchased subject(s). If you have specific requirements for large multi-site trusts, please contact us.
Can multiple teachers use the same account?
Yes. Additional teacher accounts can be created and managed by the account administrator.
Is any software installation required?
No. StudyLayers is fully web-based and can be accessed through any modern web browser on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. In some schools, IT administrators may need to whitelist the StudyLayers web address before students can access the platform.
Is StudyLayers suitable for homework and independent learning?
Yes. The platform has been designed to support classroom learning, homework, intervention programmes, revision sessions, and independent study (Studylayers can also be used as a great lesson with substitute teachers).
Is student data secure?
Yes. StudyLayers is built using secure cloud infrastructure and incorporates appropriate security measures to protect user data.
Is StudyLayers DATA compliant?
Yes. StudyLayers is operated in accordance with USA Coppa and Ferpa requirements. Schools retain control of their student data and can update or permanently delete user information when required.
Can we delete student accounts and data?
Yes. School administrators can request the removal of student data. Once deleted, LearnByLayers does not retain access to that information.
Do you offer discounts for schools?
Yes. Our School Bundle includes all available subjects at a discounted rate compared to purchasing subjects individually.
Can I request a new subject?
Absolutely. We are actively expanding the platform and welcome suggestions from teachers and schools. If there is a subject you would like to see added, please contact us and we will consider it for future development.
