TinkerCAD Keyboard Shortcuts

This is got to be one of the most handy bits of knowledge for anyone wanting to develop their TinkerCAD skills. These are the keyboard shortcuts that allow you to drastically speed up your modelling.

We felt the need to share this great resource on our blog after TinkerCAD tweeted it a few days ago and knew it would be one for the classroom. The benefits of using keyboard shortcuts goes beyond just speed, it also increased students confidence when CAD modelling. Knowing how to take the quick route, rather than the long way using menus and shape pallets gives children a sense of empowerment knowing they are ahead of the game.

If these were used as a teaching and learning resource from day one e.g. when your classes first get introduced to TinkerCAD, then this method of CAD modelling will be seen as normal to students and will aid with progression through the software.

We recommend downloading the image (right click and save as), then printing it out and using it in your classes with students. It’s an easy ‘win’ with the class.
